About the Expert, Brian Palmer, CMM
Brian Palmer is Senior Vice President of Premiere Speakers Bureau, where he has worked for eight years following the sale of National Speakers Bureau to Premier. Overall, he has spent 46 years helping organizations select speakers for their events.
Brian has served on the international board of Meeting Professionals International and as president of the Global Speaking Industry Association, formerly the International Association of Speakers Bureaus.
His industry honors include Meeting Professionals International’s Supplier of the Year, the Global Speaking Industry Association’s John Palmer Award, named for his father, and the National Speakers Association’s Meeting Partner of the Year Award.
About the Expert, Jan Hennessey, CMM
Jan Hennessey has spent over 30 years leading event teams and independently managing critical business meetings. Her experience has involved the entire project life cycle of events, from defining the need, to creative design, execution and reporting.
She most recently worked as the Events Director at AssetMark, Inc and previously held similar roles at Fireman’s Fund and Kaiser Permanente. She has served on the International Board and Foundation Board of MPI and on the FICP Board.
Jan considers the selection of a speaker one of the most important decisions a team makes and it is a key success factor for each event. She has hired over a hundred speakers during her career and has learned the hard way what matters the most!
About Your Facilitator, Mark J. Carter
Mark J. Carter has spent a better part of his life interviewing successful people to learn the secrets of their success. He has been designing and facilitating mastermind experiences since 2003, and interviewing people live on stage since 2009. He’s published hundreds of interviews online including podcast and radio show interviews.
In addition to facilitating interview events, he channels his expertise into co-authoring books with B2B entrepreneurs by interviewing them, pulling out their stories and genius, and co-authoring their books with them.
That curiosity and research culminated in his book, “Idea Climbing: How to Build a Support System for Your Next Big Idea”
Mark currently serves as the President-Elect and Director of Strategic Alliances for the NSA Illinois Board of Directors.
