Bio

Rosie Zilinskas is a keynote speaker, former Fortune 500 Executive Vice President, and the creator of The Articulation Gap: the distance between the impact you create and the impact leadership recognizes and rewards. After years of believing her results would speak for themselves, a senior executive told her four words that changed her career: “You never said anything.” That moment became her signature keynote, “You Never Said Anything: Why High Performers Get Passed Over.”

Drawing on more than three decades of corporate leadership, including serving as Executive Vice President at AIG Private Client Group, Rosie teaches high-performing women to make their impact visible through Clarity, Composure, and Conviction, without becoming louder or performing a personality that is not their own. She has spoken for Comcast, DoorDash, the United States Air Force Academy, Performance Trust, and the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance. Rosie is the founder of No Woman Left Behind, President of the NSA Illinois Chapter, a Certified High-Performance Coach, and a bilingual speaker in English and Spanish.

Speaker Profile

You Never Said Anything: Why High Performers Get Passed Over
45-minute keynote for corporate and association audiences

Hard work does not speak for itself. Give your work a voice.

High performers do not get passed over because they lack talent, and not because they lack confidence. They get passed over because of the Articulation Gap: the distance between the impact you create and the impact leadership recognizes and rewards. The work is there. The evidence is there. The words are not.

Rosie Zilinskas knows the gap firsthand. In 2012, after years of waiting to be noticed, she gathered every result she could find, sat across from a senior executive, and asked to be considered for leadership. He said four words that changed her career: “You never said anything.” Five years later she was Executive Vice President of a Fortune 500 company. The quality of her work had not changed. What changed was the evidence decision-makers could see.

In this keynote, Rosie walks the audience through the four rooms where careers are decided (the interview, the meeting, the performance review, and the promotion that was never posted) and shows what happens in each one when the evidence is missing, and when it is not. Then she teaches the method that turns work into evidence: Task. Result. Impact. The audience does not leave with Rosie’s example. They leave with their own, written in the room, and one conversation on the calendar within 48 hours.

Audiences will:

– Understand why hard work alone is not enough when its impact is not visible to leadership
– Stop treating the evidence they are missing as more important than the evidence they already have
– Convert one task from their own work into a result and impact statement leadership can recognize and reward, during the keynote
– Learn that articulation is not bragging: naming a contribution accurately, with evidence, and connecting it to what mattered
– Commit to one specific career conversation within 48 hours, and walk into it with evidence instead of a task list

For organizations: measurable business impact becomes easier to identify, communicate, and reward. Leaders gain clearer insight into the readiness already inside the workforce. Retention and succession bench strength improve because impact is no longer invisible.

Ideal audiences: corporate women’s leadership events, ERG programs, professional associations, financial services and insurance industry events, and organizations committed to developing and retaining high-performing women.

Formats: keynote (45–60 min), breakout (30–45 min), workshop (half or full day), virtual. English or Spanish.
