Bill Guertin is a 30-year sales expert, published author, emcee, professional musician, and keynote speaker on sales, leadership and peak performance. Bill’s sales training programs are in use in the ticket sales departments of over 100 professional sports teams throughout the US, Canada and Mexico; through his work in sports, he recognized and categorized the forces at work that held his students back from what they could truly become and created his signature leadership keynote, “Overcoming The 7 Voices in Your Head.” 

Bill began his career in broadcast media as an on-air talent, advertising sales rep, sales manager and eventually General Manager of radio properties near his home town in the southern suburbs of Chicago. He started his training and consulting company, The 800-Pound Gorilla, Inc., working with the Chicago Bulls of the NBA as their sales trainer in 2004, and grew that opportunity into a well-known training brand throughout the business side of pro sports.

Bill is an eSpeakers Certified Virtual Presenter, with a full multi-camera home studio and media facilitation capabilities. Whether speaking live or virtually, Bill is engaging, involving, and well-prepared to deliver on the desired outcomes of each one of his many speaking clients.

When he is not working, Bill spends quality time with his wife, Sherri, their three grown boys and their families, and volunteers for the Kankakee County Humane Foundation, where he and Sherri have made forever homes for several very spoiled dogs.
