Jeff Rogers, a current member and board member of NSA-IL, won the National Championship and first ever LSS title in August in Denver at Influence. A special congrats to Jeff for the impressive accomplishment.

NSA-IL Competition Process
- You will compete by sharing your story via a video for Phase One and Phase Two.
- Three Finalists will present live on-stage during Influence in July, where the audience will vote for the National Champion.
- Competitors are scored on three tracks: marketability, impact, and presentation.

fees
- Fee: $50 for Phase One of Chapter Competition
- Fee: $75 for Phase Two of Chapter Competition - three finalists
- Fee: $250 for Regional Competition (Fee is $500 - NSA-IL will be half)
- Fee: No fees for regional competitors who compete for the national title

You must be a National Speakers Association Illinois member to compete.
Key dates
Your chapter NSA-IL will host the first level of the competition (Schedule is included here). All members, including CSPs. CPAEs are not eligible. They will be involved in the mentor and judging portion of the program.
Here are key dates for the Chapter Level of the Competition:
- October 15: Registration opens
- December 13 and January 10: Monthly events focusing on storytelling: Storytelling Tips, Panel and TEDx presentation guidance
- October 15 – January 9: Develop your story if you are going to compete.
- January 13 or earlier: Registration deadline
- January 13 - 23: Submit 5 minute (or less) unedited video (no PPT) to site no later than 5PM CT on January 23.
- January 24-February 5: Judging
- February 6: 3 Chapter finalists selected.
- February 7-20: 3 chapter finalists refine their video stories, record their updated stories, same storyline.
- February 20 or earlier: Chapter finalists upload videos no later than 5PM CT on February 20.
- February 20-March 5: Judging
- March 6: Chapter champion is notified.
- March 10: One chapter champion advances to regionals once fees are paid ($250)
